Ah, the waning days of summer vacation. For high schoolers, it’s their last chance to hit the beach, hang out with friends all day, and, of course, sleep late. Many Chicago Public Schools start as early at 7:30 a.m. CPS recently changed some school start times as a money-saving measure. But what effect does starting early or late have on health and academic performance? The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention has a new study on the topic where it analyzed data on millions of students.
