The hearts and minds of millions are with the people of France as they cope with what’s been called the deadliest attack on their country since World War Two. That empathy comes at a time when many say empathy is in short supply. It’s something President Obama has talked about often, even before he was President — he talked about what he calls the empathy deficit while at a gala back in 2006. So how do we turn that deficit into a surplus., and does it seem to surface more during times like the events in Paris? Roman Krznaric, a philosopher and author of “Empathy: Why It Matters and How We get It” helps us work though those questions. (YouTube/Empathy Museum)
