It’s a big week for news about same-sex marriage. Early this week, Florida became the 36th state to allow gay marriage. Friday, the U.S. Supreme Court could announce whether it will take up the issue. That could clarify whether same-sex marriage is legal across the nation, or can be restricted by states. Jonathan Merritt is senior columnist with the Religion News Service, and author of the recent book, Jesus Is Better Than You Imagined.
