Illinois Housing Advocates Promote Online Tool For Tenants, Landlords

About 1.7 million Illinoisans are at risk of eviction when the federal moratorium on evictions and foreclosures ends March 31. Housing advocates are stepping in with solutions.

A collaborative of Illinois legal housing advocates pooled their resources together to create a free online tool called COVID H.E.L.P to provide free legal services for residents — both tenants and landlords — in need during the COVID-19 crisis.

Reset checks in with two of the tool’s collaborators and a spokesperson for small landlords to hear about the needs and resources available.
