Illinois Set To Expand Medical Marijuana Program

Illinois’ medical marijuana pilot program could be extended beyond its original expiration date.

A bill expanding the state’s program to July 2020 is heading to Governor Bruce Rauner’s desk. It also adds post-traumatic stress disorder and terminal illnesses to the medical conditions approved for cannabis use.

About 6,200 people have registered to buy marijuana, far below original estimates.
