In Chicago, President Obama Makes A Push For SCOTUS Nominee

President Barack Obama is scheduled to be back in Chicago Thursday to push his pick for the Supreme Court. Obama will lead a discussion at the University of Chicago Law School with students and faculty.

A White House official says the president will make the case for why Judge Merrick Garland deserves a fair hearing and up or down vote in the Senate. Many Republicans say they want the next president to choose the Supreme Court nominee instead.
