Vinyl records—like cassettes and CDs—are often thought of as a thing of the past. But vinyl has been making a comeback over the last decade. Last year, more than 9.2 million vinyl records sold in the U.S., according to a Nielsen report. And, as sales and production for vinyl has increased, the number of pressing plants has stayed the same. Some of the biggest American pressing plants are “booked up” currently.
