In Chicago on Tuesday, on the eighth floor of a downtown office building, there’s a room crammed with people making sure Election Day goes smoothly in all the city’s 2,069 precincts. They’ll log thousands of complaints today—missing ballots, questionable voting machines, and that great Chicago classic: electioneering too close to the polls.
