You may recall the late 1980’s Chicago Irish-folk band The Drovers. If so, then you remember the fiddle playing of Sean Cleland. He was seven-years-old when he decided it was the fiddle he wanted to learn to play. The idea came from a concert he attended at Lane Tech High School in the 1970s where a touring group of Irish musicians, singers and dancers were performing. Cleland founded and runs the Irish Music School of Chicago. He stops by Morning Shift to dazzle us with his playing.
