Italy’s Prime Minister has vowed to pass legislation recognizing gay civil unions and parliament is set to vote on the bill later this week. The debate around the legislation has been a contentious one, creating divisions even within political parties. One of the most divisive aspects of the bill is a provision which would allow gay couples to adopt.
