Superwar, Atari, Tetris, and Nintendo, are your gamer senses tingling? Whatever your answer might be, those iconic names probably still brought back memories.

“Hey! Play! Games in Modern Culture” an exhibit at the Chicago Design Museum is aiming to remind society that games live in our minds and social relationships. The exhibit is interactive with a variety of modern play experiences for all ages.

Morning Shift sits down with Tanner Woodford founder and director of the Chicago Design Museum and Dr. Brian Schrank, chair of game design at Depaul University and curator of “Hey! Play! Games in Modern Culture” to talk more about the exhibit and how game design affects our culture.
