Jane Byrne Interchange Project Delayed Until 2022

After a series of delays and budget woes, construction on the Jane Byrne Interchange Project is now expected to be done by October 2022.

State transportation officials on Friday told reporters that they could have communicated better with the public about delays. The project will reportedly cost $713 million, up from the state’s initial $600 million estimate.
