American-born Janna Jihad is 13 years old and grew up in the West Bank village of Nabi Saleh. Self-billed as “the world’s youngest journalist”, she started reporting from the age of seven. Jihad’s focus is on the harsh life she and other children live in the Palestinian Territories. She says she wants to give the voiceless children of Palestine a platform to share their lived experiences under occupation. We’ll talk with Jihad while she’s on a U.S. speaking tour as ambassador of the South African children’s rights NGO Shamsaan .
