Back in September, the federal government announced it aims to cut the amount of food waste Americans create in half by 2030. This week, there’s a new report out from the group ReFed that outlines 27 fixes for getting us at least part of the way there. 

WBEZ’s Jenn White sat down with WBEZ food and health reporter Monica Eng and Chicago Tribune food and dining reporter Louisa Chu to discuss the problem and some steps that restaurants, stores, schools and we as individuals can take to solve it.
