Last month at least 200 girls were kidnapped from their boarding school dorms in the town of Chibok, in northeast Nigeria. They were taken away in the middle of the night by the Islamic group Boko Haram. Most of the girls have still not been found and rumors suggest the girls may have been sold off as child brides. Nigerians have protested the situation in the country’s capital, Abuja. One speaker at the protest said “If this happened anywhere else in the world – more than 200 girls kidnapped and no information for more than two weeks – the country would be brought to a standstill.” Ngozi Eze, Nigeria country director for Women for Women International will join us to discuss the situation.
