Lawyers for two men say they hope to demonstrate in parallel lawsuits that Chicago’s gang database systemically violates the rights of racial minorities. The cases involve undocumented immigrants who allege that Chicago police falsely labeled them gang members — and that this led to their arrests by immigration officials. Federal judge Joan Lefkow will hear both cases.
