Last week , Ahmed Godane, the leader of the Somali Islamist militant group al Shabaab, was killed in a U.S. drone strike. Al Shabaab has already named a new leader and has promised he’ll bring “great distress” to their enemies. We’ll take a look at U.S. policy in Somalia with Ahmed Samatar, dean of the Institute for Global Citizenship at Macalester College.
