The work of famed photographer Bert Stern is the stuff shows like AMC’s Mad Men are made of — fashion, style, and a creative flare that can get, at times, a little risqué. His innovative approach to photography helped guide the “Golden Age of Advertising” in ways Don Draper could only dream about. Stern is the subject of a new documentary, Bert Stern: Original Mad Man. The film gets its Chicago premiere this week at the Siskel Film Center, and both Stern and the film’s director, Shannah Laumeister, join us on the Morning Shift.
