The crowded field of Republicans take the stage tonight at the ronald Reagan Presidential Library in Simi Valley California for the second Republican presidential debate. CNN’s Jake Tapper will no doubt ask the standard domestic and foreign policy questions, but surely there will be extra attention on the candidate who’s garnered the most headlines — real estate mogul Donald Trump. Trump has created waves on everything from his stance on immigration to his comments about opponent Carly Fiorina’s looks. It’s hard to gauge the level of support here in Chicago for Trump but his June appearance at the City Club had about 2,000 people on the waiting list, only about 300 got in. Two Northwestern University graduates who think Trump’s the answer to what the country needs have formed the Art of the Deal PAC to help boost the candidate ahead in the race.
