Many American companies have shifted their manufacturing to foreign countries with cheaper labor costs, ensuring greater profit at the cost of American jobs. That could possibly be changing with “reshoring”. The idea is to create conditions here that make it more attractive to big U.S. companies. One of the incentives is to promote the idea that American made products are higher quality items. The local company WeatherTech uses that as part of its promotional pitch. The question is whether or not these tactics are working and what affect it could have on the job crisis in America.
