Online dating and hookup culture took a hit last week when Craigslists shut down its personals section- where men and women could find love, or a “casual encounter” i.e., sex. 

The abrupt move was in response to a bill called the Stop Enabling Sex Traffickers Act, which would allow victims sex trafficking to sue websites that facilitate their abuse. Craigslist issued a statement saying, “We can’t take such risk without jeopardizing all our other services, so we are regretfully taking craigslist personals offline. Hopefully we can bring them back some day.” 

In the meantime, thousands of people who used it semi-anonymous service need to look elsewhere for love and sex.
