Loyola Press has beat out some of the big publishing houses and won the English language, North American rights to Pope Francis’ first book as the pontiff. The Press will publish the book in the U.S., its territories and the Philippines. It’s a collection of the Pope’s homilies, speeches and other writings. It’s called The Church of Mercy, and is due out by this Easter. WBEZ’s Lynette Kalsnes tells us about the competition to win the book, what it means to the Chicago publisher, and what the book’s about. (Photo: Flickr/Catholic Church (England and Wales))
