Major League Baseball’s trade deadline passed Monday afternoon without the Chicago White Sox making any major moves.
The Sox are 7-and-a-half games out of the wild card with two months left to play. Last month, general manager Rick Hahn fretted that the South Siders were “mired in mediocrity” and said he was considering a complete rebuild. But on Monday, Hahn said he didn’t get any worthwhile offers for the Sox’ big-name players. He hinted at a full overhaul in the off-season, when he believes more teams will be in the market.
