Film maverick and legendary B-movie producer, Menahem Golan, passed away this week. He turned out films that ranged from campy offerings like “Death Wish 3” and “Superman IV”, to the serious “Crime and Punishment”. But Golan, along with film mavericks were influenced by a Japanese film genre called “Pink Film (pinku eiga)”, more commonly called “soft porn”. Milos Stehlik will talk about how many film masters got their start in erotica.
