Members of the European Parliament gathered in Brussels yesterday to question embattled Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg about the Cambridge Analytica scandal, the platform’s compliance with a new European privacy law, and other concerns about Facebook’s protections for users. Europe’s new General Data Protection Regulation comes into effect on Friday and it requires platforms to notify governments about data breaches and to be more transparent with users about data collection.
