Last weekend a mass grave was discovered in the town of Iguala in the Mexican state of Guerrero. It is believed that the grave contains the bodies of a group of student protesters who have been missing since late September. Many people report that the police attacked the caravan of student activists and that the students went missing after protests they were participating in turned violent. Iguala is an area that is under the control of the drug cartels and the police have been accused of having links to nacro traffickers. Mexicans have taken to the streets in protest over the handling of the case. DNA testing is currently underway to identify the bodies. We’ll get an update from Adam Raney, a correspondent with Al Jazeera English. He joins us from Mexico.
