WBEZ film contributor Milos Stehlik is wrapping up his week of reports for Worldview from the south of France at the 71st Cannes Film Festival. Immigrant and refugee-themed films have featured prominently at this year’s festival. Stehlik tells us about a few movies, including Capernaum. The Lebanese film features Zain, a 12-year old boy, trapped in a stateless refugee world. Protective of his child-bride sister, Zain is suing his parents for “giving him life.”

Stehlik also talks about Burning from South Korea. He believes the film should, and will, win the Palme d’Or prize for best film.
