Milos Stehlik Interviews Filmmaker Armando Iannucci on ‘The Death of Stalin’

Scottish-born writer and director, Armando Iannucci,  is world renown for his political satire. He directed the Academy Award-nominated film  In the Loop . Iannucci  also created the HBO award-winning series  Veep . He’s now taking a swipe at one the most controversial figures of modern history, Joseph Stalin. His latest film is the spoof,  The death of Stalin.  Starring Monty Python legend, Michael Palin, along with Steve Buscemi, and Jeffrey Tambor.  The film comically follows Stalin’s inner circle in the immediate aftermath of his death. WBEZ Film Contributor and Director at Facets Chicago, Milos Stehlik, interviews the world’s great filmmakers. He’ll chat with Iannucci about the film and about Iannucci’s view that  The Death of Stalin , in many ways, parallels the Trump administration.  The Death of Stalin is now in theaters.
