According to WBEZ Film Contributor Milos Stehlik, French director Jean-Pierre Melville’s “first five films enshrine [him] as the “spiritual father of the French New Wave.”

Melville’s films will be showing at the Gene Siskel Film Center through June in the film series: “Jean-Pierre Melville: Criminal Codes.”

Stehlik joins Worldview to share some of his favorite Melville films and themes.
