More Dog Parks Coming To Chicago’s South Side

Three new dog parks could soon be coming to Chicago’s South Side. It might seem like small news, but consider the numbers.

There were 22 dog parks on the North Side, two in the South Loop and only one south of 18th Street as of July 2017.

But after years of complaints from residents, the city recently broke ground on a new South Side dog park in Calumet Park, near the Indiana border.

Then last week, the Emanuel administration released proposals for three more in Bronzeville and Oakland.
