So it looks like actress Jennifer Beals is the latest person — famous or not — who’s been called out for saying something or displaying behavior some people find objectionable enough to publicly shame the perceived offender. We talk to listeners about if public shaming has gone too far and who’s fair game. And now Chicago’s Father Michael Pfleger is trying to publicly shame small store owners in Auburn Gresham into hiring more African Americans. He joins us to talk more about his campaign to generate more local jobs for people in the neighborhood. We also get an update on the growth of Illinois’ Medical Marijuana Industry…which includes a new kind of worker: the budtender (think bartender but with pot instead of Pale Ale).
