Last month, the University of Chicago and the University of Illinois at Chicago appeared to be rivals for the Obama presidential library. But with reports swirling that the Obamas will make their post-presidency home in New York, the two Chicago institutions are now presenting a united front, lest the President’s undergrad alma mater Columbia University swoop in and win the library in the 11th hour.
