Morning Shift: Tuesday, February 2, 2016

Our “Working Shift” series continues with fireman Eric Washington. He joins us to share a day in the life of a Chicago Firefighter. We talk to Janae Bonsu from the Black Youth Project 100 about their new policy agenda. And, Chicago’s plastic bag ban has been in effect for six months. We take a look at how it has been going so far. Plus, according to the National Federation of the Blind, about 60 percent of blind folks are unemployed. We talk with Colleen Wunderlich of the Hadley School for the Blind about what’s being done to address that statistic.
