Morning Shift: Wednesday, February 3, 2016

Our “Working Shift” series continues as we talk to two people whose work you may know or like, even if you don’t know their name. The ghost writer. Things are not going well between the Chicago Teachers Union and Chicago Public Schools. The district announced plans to cut 100 million dollars in staff and spending to help address its long term one billion dollar shortfall. Chicago Public Schools CEO Forrest Claypool joins the show to shed some light on the proposed cuts. Then, Danielle Pinnock joins us to talk about her one woman show addressing body image. Plus, Vocalo’s Ayana Contreras brings us a crop of musical artists who recorded under aliases, and songwriters writing music under aliases.
