The self-described Circus Punk Marching Band Mucca Pazza has cleaned up their act — if only for a residency series. Their weekly Monday night gig at Revolution Brewery in Logan Square dispenses with (most of) the chaos, and has them seated behind formal music stands, and acting relatively well-behaved. Known as Sitting in Chairs, the residency is the more proper side of the usually unpredictable and somewhat naughty band. Mucca Pazza drop their marching outfits, and suit up in formal wear as they perform songs from their Sitting in Chairs series, Friday on The Morning Shift. If you’d like to catch the “Original Mucca,” you can catch them in their chaotic marching band form at Mayne Stage in Rogers Park on Saturday, May 4. Here, they perform two Mucca Pazza “Sitting in Chairs” songs, “Subtle Frenzy” and “Lunch Trays and Gold Fish.” Photo by Kirstie Shanley
