Erik Hall, aka In Tall Buildings, has an eclectic resume. He studied jazz at the University of Michigan, worked with long-time experimental rockers His Name Is Alive, jammed with the Afro-groove outfit NOMO, and even worked with the band Wild Belle. He’s been working on his sophomore release Driver for about four years, splitting his time between a home studio here in Chicago and a farm in Michigan. The album release show is Thursday at Schubas Tavern, but Hall brings his layered, intricate psych-folk sounds to the Morning Shift for a preview.
