According to Senator Dick Durbin, the cost of new college textbooks has risen 82 percent over the last decade. Durbin and fellow senator Al Franken want to introduce legislation to contain the soaring cost of textbooks. We look at the “open source” movement for college textbooks-and classes-with Nicole Allen of the Scholarly Publishing and Academic Resources Coalition.
