Last month, 43 students disappeared in the Mexican state of Guerrero. According to eyewitness accounts, they were kidnapped after being rounded up by police. Earlier this month, government officials pointed to a mass grave as the location of some of the students. But so far test results have shown the bodies discovered are not the missing students. Guerrero’s governor has since been sacked and replaced. We’ll talk about the case with Laura Carlsen, director of the Americas Program for the Center for International Policy, based in Mexico City. She’s been in Guerrero investigating the disappearances. Carlsen also attended many of the resulting mass demonstrations in Acapulco, Mexico City and elsewhere.
