Pope Francis has once again shaken up the Catholic world- this time with his announcement this week that all priests would be authorized to forgive the “sin of abortion” during the church’s jubilee year. Today, the Pew Research Center released its latest survey on “U.S. Catholics and Family Life.” It takes a look at attitudes about all aspects of family life and a range of other issues. We’ll discuss some of the findings as well as the Pope’s influence on U.S. Catholics with John Thavis. He’s the author, most recently, of The Vatican Prophecies. Investigating Supernatural Signs, Apparitions, and Miracles in the Modern Age. He has covered the Vatican for more than 30 years, many as Rome bureau chief for the Catholic News Service.
