After covering 35 demonstrations in Chicago this summer, Columbia College senior and photographer Vashon Jordan Jr. said it was time “to tell our own stories.” While much of the news coverage focused on looting and conflict, Jordan’s new book centers the summer of protests around Black resistance and joy.
