The Great Lakes Restoration Initiative is a collective of federal agencies that works to address the environmental needs of the Great Lakes and the region affected by their waters. The Initiative’s goal is to preserve the health of the Great Lakes. But, a new report says that new information about climate change should adapt the policies of preservation. The University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee Center for Water Policy gathered experts from the field last month to present new policies, and discuss threats to the region.
