If you’ve heard of Chappelle’s Show or read the back page of New York magazine then you’ve probably heard of Neal Brennan. The director, writer, actor and comedian has created screenplays and received Emmy nominations, but now he’s starting a new comedic venture. He’s hosting a new show, The Approval Matrix, which is an upbeat panel show that’s based off New York magazine’s popular back page feature. It covers hot topics in pop culture sparking thoughtful yet funny discussions between panelists who rank the importance-or absurdity-of the topics. Brennan stops by to talk about the show and places a few of Chicago’s own in the “highbrow/lowbrow, brilliant/despicable” categories. Photo Courtesy of Facebook
