Nick Offerman On Living A Simple, Meaningful Life
By Jason MarckNick Offerman On Living A Simple, Meaningful Life
By Jason MarckActor, writer, producer and woodworker Nick Offerman has been a part of the American zeitgeist for more than two decades. He’s appeared in more than 50 films, countless TV shows and is best-known for his role as the uber-Libertarian Ron Swanson on NBC’s Parks and Recreation. Now, he’s touring the country with a one-man show called “All Rise,” which he describes as an “evening of deliberative talking with light dancing.”
Offerman was raised in Minooka, a southwest suburb of Chicago. He’s a versatile performer — in addition to comedy, he’s performed serious stage drama, hosted a reality show and starred in a punk rock video for the Los Angeles-based band FIDLAR (viewer discretion advised). He joined the Morning Shift to talk about his life, career and his local roots.
Nick Offerman will perform at the Chicago Theater on Sept. 15. Tickets are on sale now.
