According to the National Weather Service, it’s been 317 days since Chicago has officially had an inch of snow on the ground, making this the longest stretch of its kind on record. Based on the forecast heading into the weekend, we’re likely to have more snowless days ahead. Kevin Birk from the National Weather Service explains the meteorological reasons behind the new record.
