The Chronicle of Higher Education’s report shows the median salary for public-university leaders rose slightly. It’s now close to $436,000. Former University of Illinois president B. Joseph White was making more than that. White, who resigned late last year due to an admissions scandal, was slated to make $450,000.
The news comes as the university grapples with a multi-million dollar shortfall. Calls to the University of Illinois were not returned.
