A public comment period for a Chicago plan to upgrade Chicago’s busiest bus route ends Friday. The city’s redesigning more than five miles of Ashland Avenue for BRT, or bus rapid transit. The Chicago Transit Authority says the service would be almost twice as fast as today’s buses. But the project’s hitting opposition, especially from some businesses along the route.
