The film is set during the military dictatorships of the 1970’s in Latin America. It tells the story of Operation Condor, a collaboration between the military regimes of Brazil, Paraguay, Uruguay, Chile and Argentina. The CIA-sponsored Operation Condor led to the disappearance of thousands of opponents to South America’s military dictatorships. The film is screening as part of the Chicago Latino Film Festival. Director Carlos Bolado, writer and producer and actress Carla Ortiz and film contributor Milos Stehlik join us to discuss the film and this period in Latin American history.
