Chicago Public Schools is facing yet another tight budget, but their spending habits aren’t really changing. The Board of Education voted yesterday to give $6 million dollars in startup funding to private companies running alternative schools and they also renewed several contracts with privately-run charter schools and teacher training programs like Teach for America.
