Today, we talk with moral philosopher and ethicist, Peter Singer. He believes that generally, we are too detached from our acts of altruism. According to Singer, simply giving to a charity to “feel good” isn’t enough and that doing the right thing should entail looking at those most vulnerable, and in need, to most effectively target help. Singer is professor of bioethics at Princeton University’s Center for Human Values. His latest book is The Most Good You Can Do: How Effective Altruism Is Changing Ideas About Living Ethically.
