There are more than 3 million Muslims in the UK and more than half were born outside of Britain. Earlier this year London elected its first ever Muslim mayor.

Amid this change, the play Multitudes explores what it means to be a British Muslim today, taking on questions about identity and multiculturalism.

The play is set in the city of Bradford and follows the journal of Natalie, a woman who has converted to Islam and her Muslim boyfriend who is running for election to Parliament.

Playwright John Hollingworth joins us to talk about Multitudes which runs at the Victory Gardens Theater in Chicago through November 13th.
